Condemnation Solves Nothing

All throughout this year, I have been pressured to pick a political side.

And I have been called every name in the book when I have refused.

I’ve been told I HAD to, because I had to stop the racists.

I’ve been told I HAD to, because I had to stop communism.

I’ve been told I HAD to, because I had to stop “Black Lives Matter”.

I’ve been told I HAD to, because I had to stop pedofilia.

I’ve been told I HAD to, because I had to stop the coronavirus.

I’ve been told I HAD to, because I had to stop the economy from failing.

I’ve been told I HAD to, because I had to stop the orange monster.

I’ve been told that a LEADER SHOULD use their voice for political influence and that it is IMMORAL and COWARDLY not to.

I’ve watched fellow coaches and professionals demean those who did not publicly pick political sides vocally. I’ve watched them judge colleagues for refusing to ostracise and shame their followers on the opposite side of the isle.

I’ve watched leaders and influencers threaten to shun and unfollow any business or professional who did not ascribe to their political views.

This is the first year I have ever felt SO MUCH hatred and judgment for refusing to play along. It’s the first year I have felt disagreements have escalated to intense MORAL CONDEMNATION.

AND I STILL REFUSE TO PLAY THIS GAME.

Condemnation solves nothing.

I have a pretty close to equal amount of followers/clients on both sides of the political isle. And I’m proud of that.

Because EVERY WOMAN deserves to be empowered and free of toxic relationships.

Because EVERY WOMAN deserves to be supported as they face violence at home.

Because EVERY WOMAN deserves to have a shot at healing from abuse.

Because EVERY WOMAN deserves to hear the message I was placed here to share.

Because when ONE PERSON heals one more layer, we ALL heal a little more.

If I had shamed a vast number of women for their political stance, they wouldn’t have read something they needed to read. They wouldn’t have had a conversation they needed to have. They wouldn’t have been empowered to make a choice that changed (or saved) their life.

So please stop dehumanizing each other. Your shaming, judging, and condemning only serve to LIMIT you from sharing with ALL those who desperately need YOU.

We are HUMAN before we are anything. Red and Blue are only an illusion and you don’t have to participate unless you CHOOSE to. And I choose not to. I am unavailable for a system using vehicles of hate and manipulation to obtain what they want.
